  1. Terms


    By accessing this Website, accessible from http://www.svenwalkaboutrepairs.co.uk, you are agreeing to be bound by these Website Terms and Conditions of Use and agree that you are responsible for the agreement with any applicable local laws. If you disagree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from accessing this site. The materials contained in this Website or traded by SvenWalkaboutRepairs are protected by copyright and trademark law.




  2. ​Disclaimer of Materials and Services.


    All the Hardware, Software or Services that SvenWalkaboutRepairs sells are provided "as is". SvenWalkaboutRepairs does buy these materials from reputable sellers, and if a product has failed or does not works as expected, please contact info@svenwalkaboutrepairs.co.uk to find a solution to your problem. I can not guarantee a refund but I will strive my best to find an acceptable solution for both the customer and SvenWalkaboutRepairs. ‘Acceptable’ solution is defined by SvenWalkaboutRepairs.

    If SvenWalkaboutRepairs has purchased a part or device for a customer, and the customer does not replies or responds to any (and repeated) contact attempt made by SvenWalkaboutRepairs, SvenWalkaboutRepairs will become the rightful owner of the purchased part, whether or not the customer has already payed for it, and SvenWalkaboutRepairs is allowed to do with it as they see fit. 




  3. ​Payment and Billing


    SvenWalkaboutRepairs may bill you for the Services, Hardware or Software that he has provided. Payment is expected to be taken immediately after providing these services or products and can be paid through various means, such as Cash, Card, or 3rd party wireless payment methods such as Apple Pay or Samsung Pay.

    In some situations, direct payment is not an option and in this case, SvenWalkaboutRepairs will provide a payment link to a website known as ‘Zettle’ (Formerly ‘iZettle’). Here the customer will be tasked to enter their card details and pay the amount in question.

    If the customer does not pay within 5 days of the initial appointment, the customer will receive a reminder sent by either text, iMessage, Whatsapp Message, Facebook Messenger or email. If the customer does not pay within 10 days of the initial appointment, the customer will be charged a late payment fee defined by Sven Walkabout Repairs. After 20 days of the initial appointment, the customer will be reminded and after 30 days of the initial appointment the customer will receive a warning and legal action will follow if the customer continues to not pay the charged amount.

    If an appointment has been set, and the customer is a no-show, SvenWalkaboutRepairs shall charge the customer a coming-out fee determined by SvenWalkaboutRepairs for the trouble, regardless of if the customer is a new customer or an existing one. 




  4. Customer Data Backups


    SvenWalkaboutRepairs may make a backup of the customer’s user data if the customer has requested this. This Data will be stored on hard drives secured and encrypted using Microsoft’s Bitlocker or Apple FileVault. SvenWalkaboutRepairs will handle this data responsibly. SvenWalkaboutRepairs is not accountable if any of the hard drives are stolen. I would like to put down that (unless they’re professional hackers), Without the password that I set to unlock the hard drive and access the files, the thieves would not be able to access any user data on the hard drive.

    Unless requested otherwise, the user’s data will be deleted 2-3 Months after the original backup.




  5. Limitations


    SvenWalkaboutRepairs will be held accountable for any damages that will arise from the installation of hardware and/or software up to £300 Pounds by SvenWalkaboutRepairs. compensation may not be provided in full and may be provided over a period defined by SvenWalkaboutRepairs. Further modification of hardware or software is not SvenWalkaboutRepairs’s responsibility and he can not be held accountable for any user damage and/or accidental damage by the user.




  6. Revisions and Errata


    The materials appearing on SvenWalkaboutRepairs’s Website and provided by SvenWalkaboutRepairs may include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. SvenWalkaboutRepairs will not promise that any of the materials in this Website are accurate, complete, or current. SvenWalkaboutRepairs may change the materials contained on its Website at any time without notice. SvenWalkaboutRepairs does not make any commitment to update the materials.




  7. Links


    SvenWalkaboutRepairs has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The presence of any link does not imply endorsement by SvenWalkaboutRepairs of the site. The use of any linked website is at the user’s own risk.

    SvenWalkaboutRepairs may revise these Terms of Use for its Website at any time without prior notice. By using this Website, you are agreeing to be bound by the current version of these Terms and Conditions of Use.




  9. SvenWalkaboutRepairs’s Privacy Policy


    After a successful appointment with the customer, I save their name, address and contact methods (email/phone number) in iCloud for easy access if the customer would contact me again in the future. This would mean I would not have to ask for the information again. If you use the live chat feature on my website, you will be asked to leave your name, phone number and email address. I do keep a record of these however this is only for further appointments or contact and no other purposes. 

    I might keep a copy of customer log-in data (email and password) myself, however, this will be stored in a program called 'Bitwarden', which in itself is secured with a secure password. This will only be done with the consent of the customer.

    I might keep a copy of documents or images used for (for example) the website I helped create, however, this is again done with the consent of the customer.

    All documents and images are stored in OneDrive which is secured by 2 Factor-Authenticator.

    No one but me has access to any of the above information (Emails, passwords, images or documents) and this data will not be shared with anyone. 

    Your email might be used for me to reach out to you, for tips on how to use your device if SvenWalkaboutRepairs finds this necessary or to schedule a future appointment. 




  10. Governing Law


    Any claim related to SvenWalkaboutRepairs's Website shall be governed by the laws of GB without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
